Wintery bedroom update reveal and incredible sale!

I love a good bedroom decor update!! I used to refresh our bedroom (art above the bed, decorative pillows, bedding) more regularly, but since doing our bedroom makeover One Room Challenge last fall it's felt so "done" I haven't changed much.

But, Serena & Lily wanted to show off some of their products in our home during their Thank You Event (25% off site-wide!!!) and I fell in love with some of their pieces, and made some changes--and I love it!

Winter master bedroom update with velvet bedding

I've been wanting a winterier quilt and this washable velvet one really caught my eye. It's cotton velveteen and machine washable--perfect for snuggling a toddler with! I also got two of these matching quilted velvet shams, but in this dreamy eggplant color.

I also brought in this Federal eagle mirror (mine is thrifted, but here is a similar one)--it's been hanging in our hall for lack of a better place, but I love it over the bed!!

Adding in the gold mirror, plus more rich colors like the merlot shams (the velvet quilt also comes in merlot) and texture really make this room feel cozy for winter. Serena & Lily has so many great textures for their bedding and throw pillows--I love this alpaca sweater pillow!--and I also got their suede throw pillow cover in grey in small lumbar. (I also got these striped pillows in Smoke but they are backordered--look forward to making that little update when they arrive!)

I also got new throw pillow inserts from Serena & Lily--they are way nicer quality than the kind that come in toss pillows you get at the big box home decor stores (that shed feathers all the time). These are great prices and come in every size you could want!

So luxurious and cozy!

Everything is excellent quality, too. The quilt and shams are backed with linen, and the suede pillow has a linen backing and gold zipper.

This bedding went with the rest of the room so well, it still feels "done" and cohesive. 

They also go well with our slipcovered bed--mine is a DIY but this one at Serena & Lily is so similar!
