Fall 2020 favorite One Room Challenge renovations

This year has been a rocky one and the One Room Challenge has responded. The spring event was delayed and extended due to COVID shutdowns and safety, and this fall the featured designers did digitally rendered designs instead of physical ones. And/but, there were still almost 400 guest participants!!

The One Room Challenge is not only a fun community event for designers and influencers, it's also a chance to go a little out of the box or comfort zone. I did that with our green half bathroom reno!! It's impossible to narrow down the rooms so here is a shot of the ones that I'm most drawn to with my current design leanings. If you want fresh ideas for a room renovation, check out all the guest designer reveals here and see which ones speak to you!

My favorite modern traditional room renovations

Here are a few that I really enjoyed watching! Mostly on the more traditional side as I'm leaning these days, but a mix!

House with Home basement office renovation. Can you believe this is a basement!?! So elegant, too! Those are IKEA cabinets. Katie is so talented!

Erin Zubot Design dining room. The transformation including drywall changes is incredible!!

Grey + Avery living room. This is clearly an incredible historic home but this update is really fresh and interesting while being so bright!

@hamb.home nursery. I looove Hannah's home and style, and this nursery is so cool too!

Dwell Aware sunroom. It's a straightforward design but a lot of work went into the bones of this space and it looks so good!

Deeply Southern Home mudroom/sunroom. So many pretty moments in this space, and huge transformation! And yes, that's a dog bath!

Robin & Wren library. SO much hard work in this one, building built-ins and outfitting a space with a lot of traditional but dated elements. Robin is one of my faves on Instagram and she's converting me to loving the English country style!

I'll share some more faves in my Instagram stories this week!

EVERYONE in this event worked so hard!! Check out all the guest designer reveals here and featured designers here!
