Round mirror options

I bought a round mirror today at JoAnn.  I used a coupon and spent $2.99 on it, so it was a pretty good purchase regardless of what I do with it, but my question now is, what should I use it for?  I have noticed a majillion round mirrors in stores and websites recently, and I know there are great DIY projects for them, but I don't know what I want to do with mine, a 12" circle.  Here are some options:
Apartment Therapy's thrift store plate mirrors:

Buy a bunch more and just hang them up plain:

Apartment Therapy/Urban Outfitters or Anthropologie, not sure which, recycled magazine mirror:

Bark pieces like Pottery Barn:

Leaf wreath candle plate style from Crate and Barrel:

Or a bunch of brass sticks behind it, also Crate and Barrel:

Or do something really crazy, bike tire-style, like CB2 gets the look of:

I'm sure there are a ton of other great DIY project ideas out there!  What do you all think I should do with this very versatile wall decor purchase?

  1. Thanks for becoming a follower. I love the mirror pics. I don't know if you saw, but I made a paper wreath like that mirror above, it was super simple... So I was just thinking, wouldn't it be cool to take that idea, the round mirror and some leather and cut out leaves and hot glue them on. They cover themselves up... Maybe that is dumb! Just thinking, anyway Merry Christmas!

  2. I really like those plate mirrors--especially since you can use whatever speaks to you and make them larger or smaller than those featured. Be sure to post your finished project, I'd love to see what you do.

I noticed that you became a follower of my site today, and I just wanted to stop my and say "thanks"!

All the round things do let me think at a christmas wreath. What kind of modern wreaths are there?
