Halfway though pregnancy 3 and how it's different this time

I’ve loved reading back to my pregnancy update posts from the previous two pregnancies and seeing what’s different as I’ve gotten older and with each baby! Another milestone now… I’m more than halfway through. 22 weeks as I post this. At our ultrasound last week, everything looked healthy and normal.

Also, confirmed it is definitely a boy! (We did the early blood test at 6 weeks and it said girl. Then the NIPT at 13 weeks said boy, which was quite a shock and took some getting used to. Nice to confirm with a visual so we know for sure!)

I’ve officially switched to maternity pants, or thankfully dresses still work. The nausea is mostly gone, but my leg veins hurt and are bulging so I wear compression thigh highs or tights every day. 🙃 Feeling baby kick, having headaches, all kinds of other weird hormonal things.

I had a new to me symptom the other day: heartburn. So uncomfortable. I took a Pepcid AC and it relieved it for more than 24 hours, thankfully.

Today on our long walk with the dog I had round ligament pain, such a bummer cause I love a long walk on a Sunday morning and I like to walk fast. I had to hold my belly and walk really slow today.

Mostly I am just so excited to meet this baby, and so grateful that I get to do this again, with a very supportive partner who’s just as excited as I am. Excited for the newborn and toddler stages while I’m a much happier person and in a better relationship and situation than with my other two. Such a gift. ❤️
