How to Wear DIY: A favorite fall-ey skirt and the painted wedges

How to Wear DIY from last week's date night! For the first time this season I pulled out this skirt I made early last fall.

I really like this skirt. It's fun because it's full, but it's pleated so it's not at all sloppy, and the length is just about perfect. I should write it down and remember it for all future short skirts. ;) It's not too short to be inappropriate but not too long so it's not dumpy or flat.

Also wore it with my fave wedges I painted and love so much. I've got to get more wedges since I love these but wear them all the time! I'd like some not-black ones.

Neon belt!
Top: F21 via Goodwill (similar/similar). Belt: Target via Goodwill (similar). Necklace: Target.
Wedges: DIY (painted), here. Skirt: DIY, here.

Okay, it's October now. I'll start wearing a jacket over my bare arms.

  1. very cute! My next skirt may be a fall-ey pleated skirt!

  2. Such a cute outfit, but aren't you freezing? I'm already bundling up in scarves and hats! You are brave!

  3. I love simple, solid skirts! And yours is a wonderful example! Great photos, too!

  4. wow - I love your blog, you are a clever girl.
Ive just started my own blog, and am hoping to try making some of my own clothes this winter..I shall be keeping a close eye on your blog!
