How to Wear DIY: Officially almost summer

We get some moody weather this time of year!  But for the past week and weekend it's been up to the 80's here in Portland, and it's been largely sunny for a while even before that.  It's got me really thinking about some easy summer looks I can pull out instead of my basic jeans-and-flats weekend look.

Here's something I wore this week with this maxi skirt I made last week.  I don't wear them often but this one's super comfy, and the perfect length because I made it just for me.  And I think it's good because it's an in-between warmth for a day that's not consistently super hot but too warm for jeans!
Jacket: Nordstrom Rack (similar). Tank, necklace, sunglasses, and watch: Forever 21.
Bag and flippie floppies: Old Navy. Skirt: DIY!

Have you worn any maxi skirts yet this year?!
