Almost done except the closet but stuck: Week 5 of the One Room Challenge

I hit a huge milestone this past week on our One Room Challenge master bedroom: I finished the DIY slipcovered bed!! Slipcover and all! (Huge thanks to both my parents on that project for trading off doing the work and babysitting while I worked!!)

That, and the art is hung and a few other accents are done... the room is almost done!, but now I'm stuck on a few things! Plus, I might tackle some more closet/clothing storage organization, so here are the "before" photos and what we're working with!

The bed being done is a HUGE relief. I stayed up past my bedtime the other day to finish it cause I am just not sure how I would possibly find time to sew during the day watching baby solo.

As you may have seen on my Instagram stories (still in my highlights here)

The light fixture is not here yet--correction: it is at our old house. I must have been real distracted when I placed the order cause it went to our 90's fixer upper house (which is 3 addresses ago now, though I wasn't ordering much at our apartment or my parents' house). Wayfair is sending me another one and I reeeeeally hope it will be here very soon!!

I just got this new plant for this corner and I think it really helps!! I don't love that it's close to the same height as the headboard, but it is much better than the small one I had before.

When you walk in now you see this nice balanced room, even though the bed isn't centered on the wall.

Oh, that blanket is so brand new I'm not sure it'll stay. See the creases? Thinking it is not substantial enough for the foot of the bed. This brings me to the parts I'm stuck on... I have now waited so long to buy the decorative stuff (pillows, accent bedding, curtains!) that now I still can't find exactly what I want, but am running out of time!

So I'd love to hear what your vision for the throw pillows here is!

However, the art is here! The photo above our bed is this one by Dan Otis on Unsplash. There are so many great photos on there, all free to download! It has the perfect natural Pacific Northwest-ey vibe and beauty that I wanted to show off in our home - it feels better to me to hang that kind of image than one of palm trees or white sand beaches because of where we live.

The other thing I still need to do... I would like to get to a few improvements to our closet. It's a small but double-sided closet, and we have two dressers plus some hanging and shelf space. It needs some work!!

Too many hoodies hanging!!

I hope to do a few improvements in there not long after wrapping up this project! If nothing else, I'll style the tops of the dressers and get rid of some pieces we no longer wear.

Remember, here's the final mood board for the main room!
