The living room is done! Featuring City Home decor. Plus GIVEAWAY and discount code!

Decorating an entire house in a few months has been a daunting task for me this time around. Maybe because I didn't have as much mental energy for it cause I was also working on hardcore reno projects like painting doors and trim, installing baseboards, tiling backsplashes, and redoing bathrooms. It's taken me 9 months of living at the Stanley 90's reno to get the living room, the first room you see when you walk through the front door, complete!

I worked with City Home in Portland for some really special pieces to complete the space! And, they're offering a giveaway and discount for you!

I've been slowly assembling pieces for our living room including our slipcover, this art, and a rug large enough for the space. But it was really looking pretty plain.

We hadn't had a coffee table in years, but City Home has a TON of cool ones and walking around their store looking at all of the expertly styled living room seating areas, I was sold that we needed one to complete the space. (We chose this one.)

This black and white wool pillow from City Home is oversized, really chunky and authentic in texture, and definitely one of the coolest things we own.

I also love the pom pom tassel throw we got from City Home! It's a soft cotton but a great thickness. Both of these accents are so much better quality than the trendy ones I've seen at the big box stores.

The coffee table is the Elements Cocktail Table and we love that it's solid, real wood with a beautiful texture.

The vintage fern art prints were the final addition; I saw them on City Home's Instagram and had been looking for a final accent for the living room... and they work so great with the green sofa and live plants we have!

I had really debated about what to put on the walls near the TV, and decided art around or above the TV would be too much. It's huge already and putting art above it would be too high. But the wall to the right of it is large and blank, and these fern prints were perfect. There are six varieties of them so you could do up to six different ones in a gallery wall look!

We are so pleased with how our living area has come together!!

If you're in Portland, you can shop at City Home's SE Portland location or new Northwest (Pearl District) store. They also just released a new website, so you can shop City Home online!
