Another infinity scarf makeover tutorial

You remember this tutorial using a scarf I made from an old scarf that I never wore.  I love how it turned out!

Same idea here--I made this chunky scarf during my knitting phase, sophomore year of college, probably?  It was cute and all, but I associate it with the cropped corduroy blazers, crewneck wooly sweaters, and flared Hollister jeans I wore it with, and it was really long, and the fringe was so bulky and not elegant...

So I remade it.  So glad those circle scarves are in right now, cuz this one was a perfect candidate for a remake!  Wanna see how I did it?  I doubt you need the step-by-step, but here are the pics anyway! ;)
  • Remove all the fringe pieces.  You should have some pretty prominent gaps where they were looped through.
  •  Using a large needle, connect the end of the scarf if you have one and a piece of fringe--or, just a couple pieces of fringe tied together.  Or, of course, if you have more yarn, use that.
  •  Going from loop to loop, sew the ends together!
  •  At the edge, tie off with the other end of yarn, if you have one--if not, loop around and create a knot with the yarn piece itself.

Ta-da!  Wear in loops as you choose!

Here's some chunky cowl-shaped scarf inspiration for you...
