Vintage-ey dress for engagement pics

I've talked before about how my fiance and I just did engagement pictures.  I wanted to show you another dress I made to wear in them... we did a sort of 60's-ey shoot, and I designed this dress combining some patterns.  I knew I wanted something slim-fitting, a la Mad Men secretaries.  I even used a vintage fabric, a lovely silk/linen blend in a bold blue.

Inspiration:
I used a vintage one my mom lent me, McCall's 6275, for the skirt.
I used Simplicity 2444 for the bodice, but cut it for less "wearing ease" than recommended since I wanted the snug-fitting look of the 60's.
Here's how it turned out!
(I promise the skirt isn't wrinkled in the engagement pics!)
I had a lot of fun accessorizing for a 60's look, doing my hair, etc.  All I added in this picture is the rhinestone circle pin--it's just too plain without it.  Can't wait to show you pics!

Update: Here it is in one of our engagement pics!!
