Summertime backyard party
The theme of the party was "Oregon's Bounty"--we asked everyone to bring a dish to share of food grown within 100 miles. It was great to see everyone's creations, after shopping the markets!
The local wines were a big hit.
I tried to get a nice tabletop pic of the flower bouquets, which all had hydrangeas but were all slightly different, in some of my mom's antique vases in beautiful colors--but for some reason, I failed to remove the unsightly glasses and cups--whoops!
Everyone had a nice time chatting after the meal...
I wore the little plaid dress I made recently, and post-blog post added straps to... (here's me and my dad):
And here's me and my mom, with my cousin and her darling daughter:
Fun was had by folks of all ages!
It was a nice party, and I always love being outside in the (slightly) cooler summer evenings.
Do you have any great July weather plans this weekend?
That looks like so much fun! I sure miss the weather in the Northwest! We had a HOT day in Boston yesterday, so we checked out the Whales exhibit at the Museum of Science. Today we may head down to Rhode Island and spend the day at the bf's family beach house.
