WELCOME

Hello! I'm Suzannah, a serious DIYer and mom of two little ones. Follow along with my DIY fixer upper house renovations, sewing and crafty projects, real food recipes, and de-stressing goals.
I believe you can love your home just the way it is, AND have the power to design and make big changes to make it better.
I'm also the author of DIY Wardrobe Makeovers!

JCrew, JCrew, I can't keep up!

I want to make some cute new shirt makeovers but there are soooo many to look at!  Maybe I should just start from scratch and design my own.
It feels like every time I go to JCrew.com there are cute new embellished tees, tanks, and tops.  'Course I can't drop $42.50 on all of them, but they make me want to sew!  Here are some of the new ones.

The Alice Ruffled Tank:
The Applique Mum Tee:
The Chiffon Stripe Tier Tank:
The Dahlia Bead Tee:
The Dip-Dyed Ribbon Art Tee:
The Flouncy Flowers Scoopneck Tee:
The Linen Cotton Flutter Sleeve Top:
The Mindsey Ruffle Tank:
The Perfect-Fit Swirling Petals Tank:
The Silk-Linen Ruffle Henley:
The Sunray Sequin Tee:
The Tissue Cascading Pansy Tank:
The Tissue Flutter Tank:
The Rolling Ruffles Tank (last season?  No longer available).
The Tissue Rosette Bouquet Tee:
The Tissue Ruffle Tank:
The Victoria Ruffle Tissue Cami:
The Vintage Canvas Bow Tank:
Did I overwhelm you?  Sorry!!  Where do you go for sewing inspiration?  For me it's JCrew and Anthropologie!

  1. I love your picks! I would love to do the tissue rosette top, or the mum applique tee.

And my inspiration is totally Anthro and J.Crew!

  3. I might never leave my sewing machine. I haven't been visiting many fashion sites for inspiration as I just have so much on my plate as it is! But I do enjoy Anthropologie like most :)

  6. Gosh girls...I'm still sorta stuck to the couch with a lupus flare and not doing much of anything right now but I'm keeping up with your blog and getting so many GREAT ideas that when I do get better I'll bury myself in my sewing room for weeks...lol. Suzannah, your projects are awesome - I've laid here this evening going back to "The Beginning" and just checking out all the projects should be enough to get me over this flare !! I've also found some other blog links through yours that I love...so thanks for that too :)
I hope you continue to have fun in Paris and I appreciate you thinking about us and keeping up your blog while you're gone. That's extremely thoughtful of you! Take care and thanks again :)

  9. I've already made the tissue ruffle and Vintage Canvas Bow (I made them t-shirts, not tanks). I love them! Can't wait to try more!

I absolutely love The Tissue Flutter Tank! Do you think you could do a tutorial on it? Thanks so much! You're so inspiring on how to make clothes so much cuter!

  12. I LOVE J Crew tops. I bought some of their ruffled tops a couple months ago, and get so many compliments on them.
