Anthropologie-style embellished tee from stuff I already had!

Have you seen this Glinting Hollyhock Tee from Anthropologie?
How easy does that look to copy?  I had a grey ring-knit tee that was shapeless and icky, so I took it apart, took in the sideseams, and readied some vintage fabric:
I cut out the circle motifs:
I used spray adhesive to attach these to the neck of the shirt, trimmed the edges to match the curve, and zig zagged them on.
Please excuse the bra strap.  Apparently my photographer didn't think to point it out... ;) Jason takes my photos, which is very sweet of him, but men aren't the same as women for fashion photography!

  1. How easy and stylish ta boot. Even my fashionista sister would be thrilled to get one.

  2. sweet shirt! can i ask where you got your tshirt-that style is nice.

  3. Thanks!!
The tee itself is from Gap, but I got it at Goodwill and it was huge on me, which is why I had to take it in and transform it...

  4. Gorgeous shirt! Spray adhesive rocks, doesn't it? It's one of my favorite sewing tools.
