Staple gun ottoman

I got this simple wood ottoman at the Goodwill Outlet a few years ago, at the time covered in a very dirty ticking stripe.  I recovered it quickly with whatever neutral fabric I had and have been using it since, but today I pulled out a great fabric I had that I think was once a curtain from Urban Outfitters.  I got it at Goodwill Outlet, too, a bit torn up but still showing some curtain features.  It's a great print, and I love the complementary colors together.  I thought the reading chair in the extra room needed some more girly touches, as it was still looking like an old man chair.  So I added a leftover piece of Nu-Foam and stapled the cute fabric over this ottoman!  Now we have a comfy place for our feet that matches the colorful, cheerful look of the room.  I don't usually like the honey color of wood, so I may repaint the feet... off-white?  What do you think?

  1. Very cute project! But white legs would show the dirt a lot. Maybe you shoudl try painting the wood ina shade of red to match the fabric. Or a deeper shade of red, just for fun. Of course, if it was me, I would want to stain the wood darker, but then it woudl be my style, not yours...
