How to Wear DIY: Lace dress, winter whites...

When I made my pretty little white lace sheath dress late last summer, I didn't plan to take it past early fall... I wore it for our anniversary pics and loved it, but around the same time saw some fun inspiration for taking your white lace dress into fall and winter--add some red, some tights, some tan leather... could be cute. But now it's hardly even fall anymore, no leaves on the trees and the color scheme is more grey than warm fall tones! So I took it a step further. ;) This weekend I made my lace dress work for winter with tights, an edgy jacket, and a colorful infinity scarf.

Been wearing this jacket a lot lately!! And got the clutch at Target clearance for $5 after I saw Sam's, which she also got for $5... lucky Target clearance-ing!

I loved adding the color from the scarf! It's a knit infinity scarf from this Etsy shop. I have seriously been wanting more color this fall--seems I always like things better in grey, or white...--so adding a bright print scarf has been keeping my outfits from being completely neutral.
Jacket: Ross (similar/similar/similar). Scarf: Ooh Baby Designs. Clutch: Target.
Shooties: JC Penney. Dress: DIY!

Oh, winter. I don't like you, but I'm trying to make the best of you. I also don't like it when you get dark at 4:15 and I have a very hard time taking my blog pictures. ;)
