Hmm, good question on the texture... could have had a little too much oil texture, but generally crumbly is an issue of not enough egg. The almond butter and sunflower butter also really help to keep them together. Maybe try a little more nut butter next time and a little less added oil!Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-90616347648555768752014-04-23T19:49:16.377-07:002014-04-23T19:49:16.377-07:00Oh, thanks, that's wonderful! They're definitely brown, pretty standard cookie color, with a slight green undertone. ;) You can always play around with the mix of sunflower butter and almond butter and use a little more almond butter your first try!

Thanks so much for reading, so cool to have a long-time reader/Paleo eater pal!Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-66616216317775588702014-04-23T19:46:18.220-07:002014-04-23T19:46:18.220-07:00YESSS!!! I'm trying to figure out where I went wrong and I came up with two things that could be issues. First, you made your own sunbutter/almond butter and I used the jarred versions. They were oily and yours, from your photo, looks drier/more pasty in consistency. Then I also melted the coconut oil, which was a little warm, when I added it. I'm thinking it just had too much oil to hold up. Should I try leaving out the coconut oil? Any other thoughts?Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-5983194812195951442013-12-28T18:26:03.705-08:002013-12-28T18:26:03.705-08:00I've been reading your blog all evening; I'...I've been reading your blog all evening; I've loved it from the beginning but now that I'm paleo I'm reading everything paleo-related also!
