I live in Florida and there is ice on the ground right now.Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-25762594776641158422014-01-26T20:03:37.410-08:002014-01-26T20:03:37.410-08:00Lived in Central Fl for 25 years living now in Was...Lived in Central Fl for 25 years living now in Washington state. Basically, mornings cool/cold, warm by afternoon, cold/cool again at evening. Personally, I'm not sure I'd wear dresses unless I knew I'd be back home to change for the evening or you'll be cold . Layers are a good idea. And always carry a small umbrella. You never know when it's gonna rain and it's not our typical Pacific NW light drizzle, usually nice fat raindrops and sometimes downpours that will ruin your hair and make up in 10 seconds.Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-20405019387416331052014-01-26T08:34:52.175-08:002014-01-26T08:34:52.175-08:00I have a romper I started wearing last year and I ...I have a romper I started wearing last year and I love it! I would suggest cardigans/jackets over short sleeved shirts, that can be removed during the day. Pants, shorts and skirts are appropriate, but I would opt for pants in the early morning.Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-33220110669828304762014-01-24T12:57:43.076-08:002014-01-24T12:57:43.076-08:00I had the same problem deciding what to wear when ...I had the same problem deciding what to wear when traveling to SC in the winter! I packed mostly jeans (that I could roll into ankle pants if wanted) and short sleeved shirts with cardigans/jackets that could be worn over them. That served me pretty well. Have a great time, and make sure you take a pair of flip-flops!Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-75320988782056863892014-01-24T12:47:40.367-08:002014-01-24T12:47:40.367-08:00There have been cold fronts coming through recentl...There have been cold fronts coming through recently, so take note of the extended forecast. I normally bring sandals and skirts, but I also make sure to bring a cardigan and jeans. It also depends on where you're going, because North Florida can feel much colder than South Florida this time of year.Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-43681242504269169612014-01-24T12:19:01.738-08:002014-01-24T12:19:01.738-08:00Was in Orlando (The Disney Parks specifically) abo...Was in Orlando (The Disney Parks specifically) about a week and a half ago, and the biggest thing I took from it about Florida in winter was: dress in layers. Temps seriously ranged from 35 - 80 F (although I guess it's usually not quite as low as 35). Cardigans, Leggings, sweatshirts, etc... And if you're like me and your hands get cold easily, bring gloves - I forgot them, and couldn't find them for sale ANYWHERE!Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-6860506003183721522014-01-24T07:01:23.395-08:002014-01-24T07:01:23.395-08:00I am in florida, and "in" things right n...I am in florida, and "in" things right now are high waisted shorts, maxi skirts/dresses and floral prints. We've been having a pretty cold winter so far, so make sure you bring leggings and or a sweater. I am not a cold weather person (hence why I live in florida), so when it's cold I generally stick to jeans/leggings with a cute top/cardigan or a sweater and scarfs. Most Floridians tend to over do the cold weather gear, so don't be surprised if you see mittens, hats, and heavy coats during 50 degree weather ;PAdventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-34525167732376734012014-01-24T06:38:38.210-08:002014-01-24T06:38:38.210-08:00We were in Orlando right before Christmas, and tem...We were in Orlando right before Christmas, and temps ranged from 50 - 90, so bring a variety of clothes/layers! Most everybody was very casual, lots of skirts and tanks on the warmer days. Have fun!Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-9436821209532905582014-01-24T05:11:20.554-08:002014-01-24T05:11:20.554-08:00I lived in South Florida for years (just left ther...I lived in South Florida for years (just left there last year) and grew up in Central Florida. This time of year I would recommend at least taking some sweaters with you, as the weather can turn unexpectedly. Flowing skirts and maxi dresses are very popular down there and the malls generally have a fabulous selection of dresses (though it is comical how the folks pull out heavy jackets when the temp drops down into the 40s or 50s overnight :-)) Tank tops with shorts are always good, too. I wore my sandals pretty much year round, and kept a hat and sunglasses with me all the time.Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5757733747822094075.post-13569937698635947472014-01-24T05:08:10.923-08:002014-01-24T05:08:10.923-08:00Ack, this just makes me want to go on vacation now...Ack, this just makes me want to go on vacation now!Adventures in Dressmakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276208940528297433noreply@blogger.com
